By day, I - Len Crispino - am the President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. By night, and on weekends, I operate as the dreamer and schemer of the winery. Of course, all of my ideas and ambitions need to be passed by my wife, Marisa Crispino, for her affirmation. Marisa is the practical one, and her insights onto the business are always spot-on, time after time.
The third partner in this enterprise is Louis Cimicata. Louis is absolutely blindly committed to this venture. No job is too big or too small for Louis. He eagerly takes anything on with great energy and enthusiasm.
Phil Clarke of Glenn Elgin Vineyard Management is our Consultant Viticulturalist. He has devoutly nurtured our vines for the past 4 years. He is a most valued and appreciated contributor to our team. Crafting of our wines is a result of the continuum of excellence at every stage of winemaking. The vineyard and its management are critical. Phil manages our vineyards with an eye to final clearly defined objectives, bringing in a harvest with the best possible quality yields.
I would be remiss to not mention all of the conspirators who have helped make this dream come to a reality, many of whom prefer to stay out of the limelight. My heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of them for having generously contributed their time, energy, wisdom, and love in an effort to make this seemingly far-fetched dream a reality.
And of course, none of this would be remotely possible if not for the Old World temptress. She is forever in my mind and heart.
